PUMA x SNEAKERS76 BLAZE OF GLORY “ KRYPTOS "
Taranto, 17 December 2022 - Six years later, PUMA and SNEAKERS76, the sneakershop founded in 2006 in Taranto, join forces once again to create an exclusive limited edition of the iconic Blaze of Glory sneakers.
Today, Sneakers76, with the new Blaze of Glory "Kriptòs" puts the spotlight back on PUMA's historic model, inspired by an imaginary and mysterious secret society that came from the past to leave an encrypted message inside the sneakers.
A message that draws attention to the theme of awareness, hidden behind codes and symbols, to once again raise the bar on the value and strength of stories: to be aware that we are all part of a community made up of codes and morals, ethics and above all the will to attribute the right value to what we own.
The colours of the sneakers are inspired by an old postcard of Taranto, while the original triangular box and its contents are an integral part of this puzzle where everything makes sense and everything is connected to the secret message that the mysterious secret society wants to communicate.
First presented in 1993 as a uniquely designed sneakers, featuring minimal logos, a lacing system with plastic straps and the innovative TRINOMIC cushioning system, it has been the protagonist over the last decade of a series of incredible collaborations with brands such as Bape, Kith, Bodega, Colette, Size, SneakerFreaker, Overkill, Solebox, Kith and Jeff Staple ALIFE.
The 90s were an unforgettable historical decade for PUMA, a period full of new challenges and innovations such as the TRINOMIC technology, characterised by the hexagon symbol that recalled the shape of the honeycomb cell, which gave life to technologies and trainer models that have become iconic and inimitable over time and are now appreciated and collected by sneakerheads, including the Blaze of Glory.
