Kerwin Frost returns to present his first full collaborative collection with adidas Originals.
“Creating this collection with adidas has been a dream since I was a kid. Designing the product and planning the launch was such a wild ride: it's so crazy that it will finally exist in the world! " says Frost. “I hope people are excited when they see the pieces and that makes them feel something. My main message is not to be afraid to try new things and put your thoughts on paper and they definitely don't give a damn what people think. "
The collection offers an aesthetic inspired by nostalgic images and clothing trends of the past. The family of graphic characters represent familiar faces that you may have seen in your childhood, but instead of being cute and comforting they create a sense of surrealism and fantasy. The collection includes oversized t-shirts, denim shorts, furry jackets and a chile track suit, creating a world of fun and a safe space for true independence, with vibrant and bold colors. The perceived freedom in design allows the consumer to feel unique and confident.
Moving on to footwear, Frost reinvents the adidas Originals Forum High and Forum Low as only he can. Subverting the iconic white and blue Forum silhouette, the KF Forum Hi Humanchives sneaker boasts the addition of a molded lace jewel in the shape of a TPU nose, a silicone mouth on the toe bumper and Kerwin Frost branding on the ankle strap. . Meanwhile, the KF Forum Lo Benchmate comes to life with the printed addition of the collection's graphic font family and is done in a striking Clear Mint / Bright Blue / Solar Yellow colourway.
