NIGEL CABOURN by VANS VAULT
Nigel Cabourn, designer from north-east England, collaborates with Vault by Vans to present a collection of shoes and clothing.
Best known for his unisex jackets and unmistakable vintage designs, with the Vault collection by Vans x Nigel Cabourn, the designer offers designs inspired by his personal vintage collection and the military style of bags and accessories from the 40s to the 70s. With the collaboration of Emilie Casiez, creative director of women's collections for Nigel Cabourn, the collection focuses on vintage military style from materials to colors, aesthetics through the use of sturdy fabrics, ventilation holes in brushed and chipped metal, linings original in court style and insoles. This unisex collection also features Taiji Matsuda's unique artwork and original details, such as Nigel's hand-drawn arrowheads and decorative stitching.
The most interesting aspect of my new collaboration with Vans for the Winter 2021 season is having had the opportunity to be involved with Vault by Vans to present a complete collection of clothing and sneakers that have been made with an incredible philosophy.
What makes Cabourn's product development method unique is the concept from which the entire collection is inspired: we make his garments original when we wear them and join the street artists.
