Adidas Originals and Sean Wotherspoon Leave a "Legacy 4 Our Kids’ With the ZX8000"
Having recently launched their collaborative ZX8000 Super Earth sneaker, adidas Originals and Sean Wotherspoon link up once again to present a kids-ready take on the playful patchwork silhouette.
Inspired by a definitive commitment to making our planet a better place, Sean has come together with the Three Stripes in order to leave a ‘Legacy 4 Our Kids’. Featuring a number of kids-appropriate adjustments to the instantly iconic look, the ZX8000 Wotherspoon Super Earth Infants silhouette is at once an ode to the precious world in which we live and the next generation of planetary custodians. Carefully crafted to represent the immense diversity of our planet, the striking sneaker features an entirely patchwork upper;piecing together contrasting yet complimentary textiles, patterns, and fabrics.
Meanwhile, building on the ongoing collaboration’s distinct aesthetic language, the ZX8000 Wotherspoon Super Earth Infants sneaker shares many of the same details as its adultcounterpart, such as multiple lace options, Super Earth graphics on the tongues and heel tabs, as well as floral embroidery throughout. Never one to miss out on crucial details, however, in this special kids version Sean has deployed shorter threads whichfray less.Similarly, while the adult version came replete with an additional plush toy hang tag, the kids make-up transforms the unique accessory into a detachable lace cover.
Sean Wotherspoon is a Los Angeles-based designer, curator, collector and vintage aficionado with an eclectic taste and keen eye for cars, sportswear and sneakers.
